OUR WORK PROCESS
Remove and Seal: First, we'll move out all the furniture and rugs, and empty all the closets with the homeowner's assistance. To minimize dust and protect your belongings, we'll seal off the room and vents with plastic sheeting and tape.
Sanding: We use a modern dustless system that significantly reduces mess and minimizes dust. This leads to less disruption in your home and a more pleasant overall experience.
Damage Repair: From simple touch-ups to comprehensive restorations, we’ll carefully repair any dents, scratches, or other imperfections.
Custom Staining Options: We will lay out various stain colors on the floor, allowing you to select the one that best matches your home's design. Our skilled specialists will apply the stain, following the natural grain of the wood for a seamless, even finish.
Finishing: We use only the best finishes to protect your floors from daily wear and tear. This finishing layer not only enhances durability but also provides a beautiful, lasting sheen that highlights the wood's natural grain. You can choose the sheen that best suits your home from satin, semi-gloss, gloss, or matte finishes. Additionally, you can opt for either oil-based or water-based finishes. Water-based finishes are odorless and recommended for homes where the homeowner wishes to remain during renovations, while oil-based finishes are ideal for unoccupied properties.
The time it takes for your floors to be ready for everyday traffic depends on the type of finish chosen. For instance, with a water-based finish, you can return to your home 4 hours after the last coat is applied, while oil-based finishes require at least 12 hours.
Sanding and refinishing hardwood for a project of approximately 1,000 square feet, including 13 treads and railings, typically takes 3 to 4 days.
