Very strong odor and high volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during application. The area must be vacated. It has more shine than water-based and darkens the color of wood. It lasts around 10 years.
WATER-BASED
Very low odor and VOCs compared to oil-based. Much better for the environment. It does not change the color of the wood, dries clear and stays clear. It has less sheen than oil-based. Last 6 to 10 years.
